United Access Gives Away iPad2 to Lucky Customer

United Access would like to congratulate David Perryman out of Merriam, KS, who was the winner of the iPad 2 holiday promotion at United Access. Mr. Perryman came into the United Access Lenexa location on Black Friday to enter his name into the drawing and came out a winner! An 8-year customer of United Access, Mr. Perryman said this iPad will aid him in his communication abilities. He will now be able to access the Sprint online network to make and receive phone calls through TTD. A rare disorder during childhood called Dystonia left Mr. Perryman scooter-bound, but his positive spirit still runs ramped! Many people around the Merriam area know Mr. Perryman very well, as he is often seen out volunteering for the Salvation Army, where he also works 3 days a week. 2012 VMI Honda Odyssey’s New Features

Miracles Happen to Those That Believe

The Betty and Bobby Allison Miracle League Ball Field at Dan Kinney Park is a collaborative project funded by community donors, grants and a portion of the Greene county-wide Parks tax.

This field makes it possible for children with physical and mental disabilities to achieve their dream – to play ball. These children get a reprieve from their daily challenges as soon as they step or roll out onto the ball field.

The Miracle league field is a specially equipped custom designed field with a cushioned, synthetic turf that allows children in wheelchairs and walkers to glide unrestricted without fear of injury. This is a level playing field where children with disabilities can hit, run, catch and play ball.

In addition to their numerous community donors and sponsors this project is supported by Rotary Club of Springfield North and Community Foundation of the Ozarks. It is with great community support and excitement that we are able to bring you the Betty and Bobby Allison Miracle League Ball Field. St. Louis Variety Adventure Camp

Limits and boundaries are thrown out the window. Adventure Camp is all about making the impossible, possible. Swimming, Rock Climbing, Bike Riding and More! Open to children ages 4-16 with physical and mental disabilities, Variety Adventure Camp includes a two-day session in the winter and three week-long sessions in the summer. Specially trained counselors and medical professionals are on-site each day, as Variety places great emphasis on safety, proper equipment fit and expert instruction, all adjusted for each camper’s ability level.
